PRAYER - a suicide letter to God

PRAYER is a confession. A letter of detection of the darkness consuming my very being. A setter of expectation for the creator himself. I wrote this song one cold Toronto night as a final plea. A cry from the deepest part of me….to be…free. Free from the pain of the weight I’ve been struggling to carry in these last past chapters of life. I wrote this song as a conversation with God to release the beast birthed by this depression. This is not a glorification of suicide. It is a reflection of the moments when life feels unbearable, when the soul feels cornered, and all that’s left is to reach upward in desperation.

Prayer is a window into a soul fighting to be seen. If you ever feel like in this realm, your body is displaced and your soul desperate for grace, this is for you.

WISH ON A STAR
TO GO SO FAR..
TO BE RIGHT THERE
WHERE YOU ARE.
NEXT TO YOU
PAY MY DUES
LIFE'S UNFAIR
SAY A PRAYER.
