GAMCHEON CULTURE VILLAGE
Gamcheon Village is commonly referred to as the "Santorini" of Korea, as it offers vibrant colourful hillside houses, crazy scenic views and narrow alleyways decorated with flowerpots and european styled coffee shops. I was completely in awe over every single thing I encountered, despite the chilly weather. It was a photographer's heaven (not stating I'm a photographer, I'm far from one..); a traveller's paradise. It was nice to get away from the hectic city hussle of Haeundae and take a day trip to Gamcheon. Interestingly, Gamcheon served as a refuge to people fleeing from the Korean war, and evolved into a popular tourist attraction for artists and travellers of the like. This is one place that I HIGHLY recommend to visit in South Korea and you can definitely experience the village in it's entirety in one day.
If you live in Busan, it is quite easy to get to. It took approximately an hour and a half to get there by both subway and bus. If you live on the green line like me, take the subway to Seomyeon station and transfer to line 1, Toseong Station. From there, you take a bus located a short walk from the station to the top of a large hill, which is the entrance to the village. Easy peasy.

The most delicious gimbop I've had in Korea thus far - Taco Gimbop. I completely forget the name of the restaurant, but its located at the entrance of Gamcheon!
