2016 WINTER LOOKBOOK - THE PROJECT

THE PROJECT: A COUPLE OF 20 SOMETHING YEAR OLDS WITH A PASSION FOR ALL THINGS LIFESTYLE - EMPHASIS ON THE STYLE.

The Project is stumbling through your twenties; it’s discovering what that next step is. It’s cutting, pasting, deleting, redoing and sometimes having to start all over again. It’s inventing yourself and then reinventing yourself. The Project is whatever YOU want it to be. Our Youtube channel embodies all these elements, and we absolutely love making creative content for you!

Turtlenecks

Remember when you were a kid and wearing a turtleneck was the epitome of uncool. Well apologize to your 10 year old self because they’re back in action #STOPturtleneckstigma. We realized that turtlenecks could be a really great starting point to an outfit -- by adding layers, like blazers and vests; we were able to breathe life into this old-school look. Go forth, and may your turtlenecks live long and prosper.

 Long Wool Coats

Mature adults - WHAT ARE THOSE? Pretty sure they walk around in long wool coats and have amazing jobs. We may not have the latter (yet) but sure enough one long wool coat at a time and  we’ll get there. Coats in neutrals (camel, grey, black, etc.) take the guesswork out of coordinating an outfit. Here we styled wool coats in different contexts -- sports luxe, casual, and going out.

Mix Textures

It’s never been a more acceptable time to dress up like a wild animal than in this Canadian weather. We tried to include more textures in our outfit combinations that even Cousin Itt or a grizzly bear would be jealous of. Co-ordinating textures isn't always easy but it adds dimension to a simple outfit,. Here are a couple of combinations we experimented with:

i.  denim + fur 
ii.  hair + leather
iii.  a pop of suede
